This lady is a real scooch. It's crazy, because so many people are willing to look past her absolute stankiness. People love the IP she made, and I don't really think it's going anywhere. I went to a museum recently and saw some Harry Potter stuff in it (no lie). I think ultimately she kind of got/gets people in like McDonalds used to. Get em young, and get em for life. When I was a kid, a nice dinner or treat was going to Mickey Dees. It took some crazy training to get out of that, and a part of it was learning what real ass food is. Idk what do you do in this situation. Just kinda like...not support white supremacy? Idk. Shit. Hate oppression? Idk. I think life is really complicated, and people use her media to escape. So when you try and take away someone's escape with something depressing it makes it a hard trade off. I am pretty thankful that I never drank this kool aid. I thought the movies were pretty, but they weren't really my thing. I still haven't seen all but one, and it was because I was supporting a friend who wanted to go see it. I also only ever read one book, and it was because my sibby had it laying around and I wanted to get what all the fuss was about. I still don't get it on a mental level personally but I do understand why it's hard for people to let it go. In fact, even the other day someone I love told me about watching the game and this new series coming out and how they were all excited about it. I just kind of shrugged it off in my head, because I am not here to tell anyone how to live. I just you know - told them that was cool and moved on with our conversation.

I will say that rich people are being real fuck faces lately. I mean they always were kind of fuck faces, but I think there was a subset trying not to be for a while there. There was an "appeal to the common man" kind of thing going on. Some humanist stuff. Looks like we've got some ivory tower, goblet of wine villainy everywhere we look nowadays. So that sucks. I say just you know - keep your head on, take care of who you can (esp. yourself cause...you know - you gotta) and make some art. Speak some words, but don't shit on people who don't change cause it takes a lot *to change people. Especially in a system as psychologically manipulative as the one we live in. Shrugs.
