"I'M NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN"

"Oh thank gods, I thought you'd never take a hint. You are objectively an awful person and no amount of spending on your part was ever going to make dealing with you worthwhile. Yes, PLEASE leave and never show your face here again."

Honestly they are just doing us a favor. I really don't want to see them again either.

thankfully my manager didn't believe them

Working retail for the first time at 54-yo, had almost no dumbass customers like this. Did have one call that said they'd go to Home Depot because we don't have a grass expert on staff. Well shit, I'm sure Home Depot's garden department is way sharper than my 35-years of growing plants. LOL, none of my coworkers know what a lilly looks like, should have got one of them on the phone.

One old guy threatened a coworker, I think he hit him? This guy was ancient, I'm putting it down to dementia or the like. You'd have to be demented to think your 80-ass is going to take a fit 20-yo man.

I did get some mistreatment working McDonald's at 16, but much of that was my dumb ass not knowing any better. And my dumb ass ex-Marine manager. Jesus, trying to boss kids around like we're in the military, for $3.34/hr.

Know what makes me jealous? I work in a nice Lowe's in a nicer town (for the area). Might get a tip every other day, always grateful and surprised. Over at the more ghetto store, some of those dudes clock $100+ a shift. Goes to show, the more monied conservatives over here are cocksuckers compared to the poorer Democrats next door. And it's always the people I did very little for. Motherfucker wants 1,500 pounds of rock hand-loaded? Nah.

Y'all love this one! Dude pulls up in a Tesla. "Hey! What are you picking up?" He silently hands "the help" his receipt. ONE bag of mulch. No one before or since has been pussy enough to ask for help with a single bag. (And no one has ever bought a single bag.)

In the US you help people load stuff? I don't think I have ever seen employees help someone load stuff here in Germany, apart from when someone bought a whole garden house or other stuff that isn't on the shelves in the first place, but in the warehouse in the back, so they had to bring it out anyway.

I think some employees probably help if they feel like it, but only when you are nice. If you asked them to load a bag of mulch they would probably just say "good luck with loading it yourselves" 😂

I work in the outdoor lawn and garden department. As you can imagine, this is our busy time. As in, we make 75% of our yearly money in these 3 months.

Yeah, we got dudes whose sole purpose on some days is standing around loading mulch, dirt and rocks. "Loader" is actually on their schedule. People pay up front and drive around the side to pick up. LOL, not having that sort of thing in Germany, you might be appalled at how entitled some people are. I'm middle-aged, so I'm friendly and helpful, but I ain't getting treated like a slave.

Have to admit, I've been a low-key ass to some who annoy me. "Man! How are you going to get this unloaded?!" Subtext being: "You're too much of a pussy to pick it up. How are you going to actually use it?"

This is a bit of a grey area because there are some asshole companies and asshole employees

I'd recently had an experience with a racist aldi employee only bag checking my mother because we where not one of the white people in line and that same aldi employee happened to lie about bag checking the white people ahead that we visibly saw her not check

This happened in Australia, but we live in one of the towns in Queensland not known for progresiveness

I'm planning to move to Brisbane or Melbourne once I am able too just to get away from all of the non progressive people here in my hometown

The comic isn't about boycotting locations as a whole, It's just done through a lens of someone working a minimum wage job who has to deal with people yelling at them. Especially about issues they're having and saying they're never going to shop there again. It doesn't impact them personally and getting angry at them personally won't help.

In my opinion, those sort of businesses are also the ones that end up crying out when they lose to bigger players in the space who are willing with those sort of customers. At the end of the day, are you there to feel good, or are you there to get money? Here's a little secret: nobody cares about those sort of people, it's just that some care more about the money they can get from them than others.

For me, it's right up there with tech support that complain about the trivial bullshit they are called for when it is that trivial bullshit that gives them a job.

Customer service rep - idc.

Customer- stops frequenting the store.

Boss - "Welp, we're through, you're fired."

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 weeks ago

If the problem is an unreasonable customer, your business is better off without them.

If the problem is the business, you're better off with a new job.
