I truly don't understand how you can be 33 and not know that jello shots typically contain alcohol, especially because they were probably expensive!

This may come as a surprise, but stupid does not discriminate by how old someone is.
You're right, I am often surprised by how some people have made it to 50-60 years old without a caretaker.
The really scary part is their vote counts as much as yours does.
Some of these people live in a surprisingly tiny bubble their entire lives. It's shocking if you ever meet and talk to one.
How to test if a teacher is an alcoholic:
A teacher told police that two other teachers tried the shots and said they believed the shots contained alcohol. The teacher tried one herself but couldn't tell because of the flavor, police said.
Ehh, says more to how it's made to me. Same thing with cocktails. Usually not a whole lot of alcohol so you end up tasting everything else way more.
It's mildly possible she's just dumb, and thought they were only jello. She's a Texas mom. Some of these people live in a tiny bubble. She might be dumbfounded to find out jello shots usually contain alcohol. Just sayin'.
Otherwise, knowingly bringing alcohol to 5th graders...? I got nothin.
I feel like an asshole but it was hard not to laugh a little bit when you read that article.
It's a lil fucked but, this is legit comic relief in comparison to all the other headlines NGL
