Dunno about autoclavable, but I think the HOKA brand is popular with the hospital staff I know and they seem to prefer those.

All the female nurses I know wear either Hoka or OnClouds.
This. And clogs. I wouldnt get any perforated or open back crocs. If you hurt yourself on those types of crocs, workers comp won't cover.

When I worked in restaurants in college, the chefs and staff swore by them. Is that still a thing?
Yep! And they're very easy to clean.
A lot of female nurses I worked with wore clogs. Second most popular were things that look like hokas. I don't know who would let you put your shoes in their autoclave.
Get something synthetic and easy to bleach. I wore breathable mesh upper barefoot running shoes for over a decade in the ER and I ended up with bloody/pissy socks more than a few times.
imho the only way to know is to find a uniform store and try them on for yourself. I've tried the same size shoe from different companies and it's amazing what a difference there is between them. Sorry if unhelpful.
I personally hate crocs, but I don’t work in healthcare. I have a friend who loves them.
There’s a specific workplace line for things like healthcare. Probably can’t autoclave them but you can use a liquid disinfectant.
You do want to avoid most running shoes. Narrow toe boxes, upturned toes, too much heel, and too much foam are all bad for your feet.
On running Cloudhorizon. Expensive but incredibly comfortable.
I'm a guy, but the top brands for awhile now are On Cloud, Hoka and cross. I found OC fit my feet better overall, but definitely try those 2 out.
Oofos are the plushiest footwear I’ve ever worn. They have clogs that are very easy to wash/clean.
Don't know about autoclavability, but I've known a few retail workers and people with other jobs that have you on your feet all day who swear by danskos
My GF works at a hospital, and she swears by high-end running shoes for when you have a lot of indoor walking to do.
