Still pissed at Counterpart :(

Wheel of Time for me. The third season is great but they made a somewhat controversial change in the last episode and haven't been renewed yet. No one I recommended it to has even taken a look, so I'm worried its going to end just after they hit their stride. There are so many cool scenes I want to see with this cast

I'm still pissed that Netflix fucked altered carbon.

The Society for me.

Mindhunter was a covid victim it wasn't because of Netflix

[–] Zagorath@aussie.zone 3 points 1 week ago

I'm not familiar with Mindhunter so I don't know its specifics, but "because COVID" is a pretty weak excuse in general, considering how many other shows took a short pause but came back. "Because COVID" was the excuse given by Netflix for cancelling The Society, too, and it's obviously a lame excuse.

So actually? No.

Lot of "meh" shows out there right now that I could see go, few absolute gems like The Pitt, Slow horses and Ludwig that I think are safe.

But in terms of under-rated stuff? I think most of them have been cancelled already.

Wish KAOS had hung around :(

And this will be controversial, but also wish Ahsoka had stayed, it wasn't good, but it was fun in a 'brain turned off' kind of way.

edit: Obligatory shout out to The Studio, and would also like another season of Brockmire even though I know that's not in the cards.

Just found an awesome show called Firefly - anybody know where I can download S2?

I'm not sure about "watching currently" but The Orville last aired in 2022, and hasn't technically been cancelled, and rumors are that the series is in preproduction but... I expect it is over.

It's the Star Trek we've been missing for years. Luckily we have Strange New Worlds now, which was the other Star Trek we were missing, so I think I'll be fine. Still, I appreciated a little Star Trek competition.

I will be interested to see what happens with the Anne Rice shows on AMC.

  • The vampire series has reached the second book, and it’s a completely different tone than the first book. Will they be able to keep the audience engaged past the Rice fanbase?
  • The witches series fucked around too much with the original characters and story. It was not well received, but was renewed anyway. Will it course-correct in season two, or will this be the end of it?
  • There are supposedly more Rice shows in the works, but if these two decline in ratings, will those be given a chance?

I mean this is AMC after all. If it’s not a walking dead spin off, they don’t seem to care too much about it. Still pissed about Lodge 49, and Rubicon cancellations, among others.

I love Interview with a vampire and I thought the first two seasons were great. Surely it's the best AMC have and they have to be careful?

I'm actually binging "The Practice" (late 90's) and I'm loving it!

Bosch Legacy.

…Oh goddamnit!

Good cop/bad cop. It's a fairly light hearted procedural on the cw. Doesn't seem to fit with the cw's other programming.

I’ve been waiting and waiting for the next season of Extracurricular and there has been no news.

Not really what you are asking for, but I have transitioned back to physical media/discs and I have moved away from modern series as a result. Shows today either feel underdeveloped or if they are good they are cancelled in the name of profit.

It's nice to watch series that you know have finished and you will get to see the whole story. Currently I'm watching Workaholics and I'm about to rewatch GOT up to the last season.
