3 or 5 was always my goto. That being said, I didn't have to write anything by hand in the last 15 years, and I'm pretty much forgot how it's done

cant go wrong with the BIC pen. #1 is not as good but very satisfying to use, strong contender.
The Japanese uni-ball pens are sweet, ~~don't think they are on this~~ Nvm it's #1 or close enough
Pretty sure both 1 and 2 are jp and good
I was using whatever pens I could get before I found the JP pens. Now when I see one, I have to get it. The writing feels as though it glides like a brush over the paper.
Besides that, not sure why people say they explode on them, mine are indestructable. I write and draw with a very heavy hand and they stay rock solid. Pretty good pick for heavy handed people.

Paper mate inkjoyβs have been my go to after g2βs and sharpies had defective ones in the packs I bought.
6 is the only one I've had compliments on after lending it quickly to someone - felt tip pens are the best for actually working first time when you need them, and with two pens you can even do bold text.
2, and it's not close.
Iβve had too many of 1 explode on me. So 2 or 5 but Iβm leaning towards 2. There are certain types of coated/treated paper that 5 just refuses to write on for me. I also like the thinner lines that 2 provides.

#5, but you tear off the clip. EVERY TIME.
I do that with sharpies so I can get them in and out of my back pocket easily.
1 is already very similar to my pen of choice, and 2 used to be my pen of choice. So depending on how they feel, one of them.
No skilcraft government pen?
They call it the "Precise V7", but the ink makes it anything but. I think make it out of ground-up neutron stars.
But that's why I like them. The writing's no good if it doesn't bleed a little.
