The reddit posts are absolutely useless without the comments.
Exactly, and that is one reason why Sopuli defederated from that instance. Having things posted straight to Lemmy would be better instead of clumsy crossposting from Reddit.
It’s good for the nsfw subs since the comments didn’t much matter.
Speak for yourself. I love reading horny comments and laughing at them.
I agree with this Idea as it makes it harder to find legitimate posts in the all feed.

Nope, maybe last year during the api debacle you could argue that it had some value, but since then and now the content itself on reddit is just getting shitty exponentially, browsing reddit literally feels like the dead internet to me.
The few subs I still go to are very clearly overrun by AI posts and comments.

As soon as I tried tesseract while anon, I was overwhelmed by the garbage post. Turns out I blocked it long ago on my account.

Recent versions of Lemmy include a admin API function to mark communities as hidden, thus making them disappear from the all feed but people can still subscribe to them afaik. That is a possible alternative to outright banning the bot in case there are some people interested (it seems to be mostly NSFW subscriptions though).
The bot has so many posts that it's profile page took longer than 30s for me to load, and I had to go adjust our timeouts to get it to finish. It's just going to get worse at the volume that it's posting, I'd rather just not deal with that particular scaling problem yet =)
I've had the instance blocked for a while now for more or less that reason, I'm not upset about it.
I de-federated from it on 3 of my servers for all the reasons stated here.
I've blocked that instance myself. I wouldn't miss it, if all Lemmy servers defed it.
