Yeah but he has ties to a known pedophile, and even had art by said pedo on the wall in the background of some videos, so there's that.

I only know the guy from the thumbnails and dead eyes. But this really feels like reaching for a justification to hate.

If you've seen (also past tense) any movie by, for example, Bryan Singer, you have consumed art made by a pedophile.

I'm not defending him (I honestly don't care about him), all I'm saying is that without any context, these kind of statements are kinda cheap and meaningless.

Has almost probably worn a woman as a skin suit.

Real life was a meme this whole time.

[–] Reality_Suit@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago

Spreading his fraudulent empire.

It's like there's a manufacturing conveyer belt of horrible wealthy tech bros just going brrrrrr all the time.

That's what happens when you have an economic system built to reward greedy sociopaths.

Dead eyes...every time.

I'd sell my house, car and kidney just to punch him in the dick one time

[–] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Of all the people that could buy that shit pile, I think he'd be the best. Kinda the least smelly turd in the pile.

Barely. Give him another ten years to reach Musk or Zuckbot's level.

[–] Default_Defect@midwest.social 3 points 1 week ago

Have you seen the company he keeps? The leap from Logan Paul to Elon Musk isn't very far for people like him.

Honestly don't know much about this guy. Never watched any of his videos but they all have the clickbait soy face and blatant fake smile. But the things he "does" seem noble, at least based on the titles? I know there might be sketchy stuff but I've never seen any thing negative about him, even back on reddit and other sites. I do refuse to believe he does everything out of goodwill and the fake smile tells a lot. But it's still impressive how he has pretty much no dirt on him. Maybe the cult like fanbase do all the work and ensure nothing negative gets out. I do want to believe that he's the perfect altruistic billionaire but that's literally impossible in this world.

[–] Noobnarski@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

There have been some people coming forward over the last few months that say they have been treated badly by him and that much of the videos were faked or exaggerated with CGI or they claimed something they just didn't do.

He employed a rapist with a record as one of his employees who would work with the contestants.

Then when he got called out about it he shuffled him into a different part of the company.

[–] Greee1911@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

We employed a rapist as president... so I guess it's the hip thing to do now.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Well we shouldn't have to lower our standards to the office of US Presidency...

[–] Jacob_Mandarin@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

….. The fact that this sentence makes sense is really sad.
