In their defense, the party said its most important action item on the talking points memo was not to trust your eyes or your ears any longer.

I for one am absolutely amused that every reputable news source calls ot a nazi-style salute, since Elon couldn't even get the salute right, despite his best efforts.

I love how certain media call it a Roman Salute in an attempt to defend him.

Like, do they think Hitler just made it up himself?

He stole it from the Italians under Mussolini, who basically took it from a painting. There's no evidence the Romans used this salute, so it's always been associated with fascism.
