No surprise there. Was dating a girl and she asked me to sign up so she can get some discount. I already knew it was a trash app but signed up anyway, because sex.

I’ve never seen a more cancerous app in my life. Got her the discount she needed, promptly deleted my account and uninstalled.

I did. Probably wasn’t worth downloading that app.

She got her discount. That's all she really wanted.

Tried browsing Temu on mobile browser. Fucking impossible. They push the app so hard that the website is basically unusable after few clicks. Compared to them, Reddit's gentle reminder feels like a favor.

Anyway, turned me off totally from the site. If someone wants me to use their app when I'm potentially a paying customer, website or not, seems really suspicious. Seems like my instincts were correct.

Who could have seen that coming?

I thought it was suspicious after seeing Temu ads on YT, I saw a few that said Temu Russia peppered in there

Could be true, but I will wait to believe it until I read it on something other than someone’s blog.

Yeah, a few minutes' googling seems to indicate this is mostly one guy trying to influence financial markets, specifically negatively, in order to profit from short selling.
