For those who aren't in on the full joke on display here, that's the bands guitarist and second vocalist in disguise.

In disguise, wearing his band member's lanyard.

This is just what he looked like in the 90s and 2000s like all the time

This is what most of the 90s looked like.

Fair point, but I do think the joke was that the mag wasn't bringing that to attention.

For real though. If you missed System of a Down, you missed everything.

They really were the shit live. I saw them at an Ozzfest, a light fixture fell on the drummer, right in the best part of Needles. They played on, but I was pissed that they didn't finish the song. Fucking amazing.

From my experience they are shit live. Maybe they had a bad day, maybe the don't like playing in Poland but it was the worse live show I ever saw. And I saw quite a few.

This was apparently from a 1999 issue of Kerrang! at a time in which Daron Malakian would have indeed been around 23.

How can one be in SOAD and support Trump?

[–] severien@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Without the first name I wouldn't recognise him at all.

[–] populustree@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 year ago

soad could make a song with lyrics like "the boogler took my balls yesterday" and it would go crazy hard
