First, spoof your IP address.

Then, start with Facebook. Create a realistic looking account, preferably with bots for friends, and start sharing and commenting on hateful groups' posts. They'll come out of the woodwork and if you play your cards right you get invited to Discord servers and shit like that where the really heinous stuff happens.

Then, after taking months of screenshots and compiling all the data you can, you turn it over to Unicorn Riot or a similar group and watch the fireworks.

Just read up on them then when they got to needing donations I baled

That's fair. Leave that to the dedicated antifa espionage types, they have funds for this kind of stuff. I'm sure they see it as worthwhile if they can disrupt the group entirely for the price of $20 or whatever.

Unicorn Riot, hadn't seen it before. Looks really interesting. Other than being Left and somewhat militant, (I'm Left), do you have any criticisms?

[–] A_Union_of_Kobolds@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Nothing comes to mind, but I don't follow them closely. I just remember they were involved in that major leak that took down a ton of fascists by doxxing them.

Which, IMO, was fucking dope. Some high-level infiltration led to that information.

[–] Machinist@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Badass. I'll enjoy reading about it.

If I were younger and had more free time; it would be fun to infiltrate these groups.

Time to post this again:

Worth noting, Patriot Front had a huge leak of data in 2022.

Patriot Front Fascist Leak Exposes Nationwide Racist Campaigns

You can download it at the following torrent address:

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:2c87816e4c81990fb25bbca43dd8d578eaa55886&dn=patriotfront&tr=udp%3A%2F%2F9.rarbg.to%3A2920&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.opentrackr.org%3A1337&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fexodus.desync.com%3A6969

I happen to be seeding this on a permanent basis. I have a gigabit uplink. Please leach and share. Expose these fucks.

As someone who spent much of her teenage years arguing with various ghouls online, it's not worth it.

Just looking for a hobby is all.

Have you considered contributing to openstreetmap instead?

[–] SalaciousBCrumb@lemy.lol 4 points 1 month ago

For instance you could mark the houses of known white supremacists and nazis.

Sometimes I wish there were awards on Lemmy

[–] flashgnash@lemm.ee 7 points 1 month ago

Don't, you'll only make them worse

If you intentionally stir the pot and piss them off they'll inevitably just go take it out on someone else and further reinforce their beliefs

I stumbled across a subreddit at one point that I forgot the name of and could never find again. It was a bunch of people pushing memes to crazy right wingers on Facebook encouraging them to do things like not vote and make really poor decisions like tearing up their social security cards.

[–] gmgmgm@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Are you thinking of r/ParlerTrick?

[–] Trent@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Look around on social media? I mean, they're not exactly subtle, especially now that Elmo runs Xitter.

[–] Don_Dickle@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

LMAO Elmo never heard him called that. But am going to use it...thank you mate.

[–] yngmnwntr@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 month ago

Personally I don't like comparing Elon to Elmo, Elmo is a good person. I get that it infantilizes Elon, but in my mind there is nothing negative about Elmo, and it grinds my gears when people call that human waste by the name of such a sweet caring individual.

You don't need to find them, they find you. Just say something true like "Israel is committing some of the most disgusting war crimes in the modern day" or "Putin is a warmongering asshole". Once you post something like that you get a bunch of idiots reply to you and try to convince you that you're wrong without actually explaining why you're wrong. They just throw strawman arguments and whataboutisms or just straight up lie.

[–] Don_Dickle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

β€œIsrael is committing some of the most disgusting war crimes in the modern day.....β€œPutin is a warmongering asshole....ok done. Lets see what happens lol

[–] slacktoid@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

[–] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 2 points 1 month ago

Most people here agree with it and fediverse doesn't have these idiots who screw closet to teenager

[–] PriorityMotif@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Those are sockpuppet accounts. If you look at their profile it will usually be pretty sparse and have few posts. I believe these are usually stolen accounts and the new owners clear out most of the old posts except for a few pictures. There's troll farms in se Asia that get hired by various groups and entities. It's pretty cheap because the labor is cheap or even endetured servitude.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Join the KKK and troll them in real life!

Film the shenanigans and make a YouTube channel for extra revenue.

[–] Don_Dickle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Ummm...that sound like commiting suicide plus I move town to town for my work so its hard to find groups like that. And apparently its expensive for like a hidden camera that looks like a button. Maybe I should start a go fund me thing. Or a kickstarter.

[–] apostrofail@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Nazis*/white supremacists*

Also don’t waste your time with them

[–] Fleur_@lemm.ee 3 points 1 month ago

Hmmm I would probably try corelating stuff to the woke multicultural agenda. Stuff like being anonymous online, using hygiene products and wearing shoes. Anything that would make them look like a fool or break their stuff. It's kinda hard though because being a white supremacist is already the most embarrassing thing you can be.

[–] ICastFist@programming.dev 2 points 1 month ago

Telegram is full of these groups. Usually, the trolling is simply one-upping their ass-backwards logic, like telling white supremacists to "not even breathe the same air that a non white has breathed! hold it, pass out, but refuse to take any of it in!" - if it's a video of someone stating that and saying there's scientific evidence, people will believe it even more and no, you won't even need to create fake links for said "evidence".
