It should pretty much be plug-and-play unless you use some obscure or outdated distro that doesn’t use the latest kernel/drivers.

I got a behringer umc204hd and it integrated seamlessly with Ubuntu 22.04 get one of those and plug any midi controller you want into it cuz it has 5pin din
Just about anything should work. I have a Nektar lx88+ which works perfectly
