Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I don't suppose we could deport Trump... to, idunno. belarus? its sort of like russia, right?

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee 15 points 1 month ago (3 children)

After the swifties defeat him in November they will deport him to Guantanamo. They have a nice facility down there that gets lots of sun and the sea breeze is quite nice.

NY gets first dibs, I hope that judge sends him to Rikers, even just for a week.

[–] ultranaut@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

Sending Trump to Rikers would be both hilarious and a great way to make Republicans finally start caring about the inhuman conditions that exist there.

eh. We've inflicted enough hardship on the Cubans.

we shouldn't also dump our trash...

[–] MegaUltraChicken@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'll gladly volunteer Colorado. ADX Florence is a perfect spot for him.

I mean, that’s probably the “legal” way to do it,

But I’m just going to idly say dream about idly air dropping over Moscow with nothing but a diaper and parachute. Also a tattoo that says “purchased as is, no returns, no refunds.”

Tucker can take him on a tour

Fun fact, learned this over labor day weekend. There is a family friend whom is in the throws of senility. The family isn't well off but they have him in an old folks home... in Thailand. The kids says cost is super cheap, and the care he gets is "great" so I'm told. Now, the issue is that some of the siblings want him back in the US, where they can not afford to keep him I. The care he has now is much better than what the family can afford, and none of the family are willing to take care of him themselves. They just want him back.

I bring this up so as to say. Maybe his kids send him to Japan, where the elderly tend to die alone and quietly. I dont imagine he will know how to use a phone in the next few years

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

But, for a country I've never visited... I rather like Japan. Lets not inflict him on people that don't deserve it!

(what? Ramen is amazing.)

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Japan’s way pricier than Thailand. I’ve been to both in the last 6 months.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 3 points 1 month ago

Yeah, I'm thinking more North Korea.

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 month ago

Deport him to my basement.

[–] Zier@fedia.io 46 points 1 month ago

Deport trump to the DPRK to live with his boyfriend, dictator kim.

I'm surprised he wasn't getting torn apart after the debate for looking so tired and low energy. He looked like he was gonna pass out and only opened his eyes all the way once, when Harris called out his crowd sizes

[–] luciferofastora@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 month ago

That's the old TV show host shining through, whose only concern is the size of the audience. His "show" not drawing a huge crowd kicked the attention-addict right in the self-esteem and he's still pissed enough that even his delusion can't mask it.

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I mean... 78... The year he was born, life expectancy for men was 73.3 years.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Wouldn't that have been nice.

[–] BruceTwarzen@lemm.ee 3 points 1 month ago

I don't even blame him for that, but not seeing his stupid face every day multiple times on the internet for the past 5 years would've been so nice.

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 28 points 1 month ago

A racist cares not about the details.

Because he's a fucking idiot. There are no limits to his ignorance.

[–] Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I mean he confused Arizona with Pennsylvania so his brain is just melted ice cream at this point

[–] exussum@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Don't insult melted ice cream

[–] hushable@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

two options, either he is making an appeal to emotion of ignorant people who doesn't know that Haiti and Venezuela are two different countries in different continents, or he himself doesn't know that Haiti and Venezuela are two different countries in different continents

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee -4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

What continent is Haiti on, then?

[–] Rekorse@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

I guess north america?

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago

Guy’s fucked in the head.

[–] fubarx@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Maybe he slurred his words and meant Virginia.

[–] lauha@lemmy.one 7 points 1 month ago

Pretty sure he meant to send Hawaiians migrants back to Venice where they came from.

He couldn't keep Guaidó alone in Venezuela. Cheap talk.
