After Isaacman climbed back down inside, he was followed by Gillis, a SpaceX engineer who worked on spacesuits among other programs at the company.

This is amazing, having an engineer that worked on the suit on the flight actually testing the suit in space, I'm sure it can have a huge impact on all the future improvements that will be made to the suit.

one small step for mankind and a giant leap for the industry

It's pretty cool, but this is poking ones head out the window moreso than a space"walk"

I look forward to seeing you one-up them on your own spacewalk

That would be great! You willing to fund?

Meh, opening the door and having "space" touch your suit is all that's required in my book. That hurdle is the main one. Words aren't always strictly literal, we can stretch the closest fitting one around a meaning it can imply in context.

All true. But the first America space walk in gemini 4 lasted over 20 minutes. I'm sure both ways have merit.

That exactly what I was thinking when I told th IRS the check was in the mail.

This milestone is more about developing the technology in the suits and ship. The spacewalk itself really just involved testing out the range of motion of the suit, but the full test involved a lot more changes and tests in the Dragon.
