Wait, I messed up. It's almost 40 years ago, not 50
If they were publicly traded they could have started to do the smart things that investors like to see, like spending billions to integrate AI in steam. Why is there no AI in steam yet ? Clearly a failure, Gabe should be replaced by a CEO that would not lose time and money in frivolous things like Linux (what is Linux BTW ?) and start improving the company values by adding AI and firing employees.
I'm having a thought now.
Each time we see "company laid off X employees to replace them with AI". Is it really to replace them with AI or is it just layoff because we are in recession that are disguised with AI to make it sound better ?
Better for what ?
For repairability ? The fairphone win easily
For privacy ? Graphene OS has a small edge, but e/os or calyx are still way better than stock android.
For not giving your money to evil corporation ? Fairphone is better.
It's been in the work for quite a while. The mayor of Paris announced that the seine will be open for swimming in 5 years ... In 1988.
So it took a bit longer than planned, almost 50 years instead of 5 but the fact that they are opening it now is the result of these 50 years of continuous improvement.
They are going to put a tariff on flesh eating flies imported from Mexico instead
I moved to the Caribbean for a few years a while ago and I wanted to do something meaningful.
I saw that the trade between islands was quite low despite being very close, a lot of businesses are struggling because they lack the economy of scale that inter-island trade could bring.
Since it's low volume it's quite expensive and slow to move stuff between islands the traditional way (container)
So I thought that a small autonomous cargo boat going between islands would be a great idea !
I was quickly told that it was a terrible idea unless I wanted to be "recruited" by a cartel.

This is probably why cold water taste so good. It's natural selection.
There is so many diseases carried in water so there is no doubt that people doing extra effort to get that nice crispy water from the spring will survive longer that people getting warm water from the nearest water body.
I'm in France in a small village but I'm quite lucky with the doctor situation.
If I'm sick I go online, see what shot is available for my doctor and book it, usually in the best few days. If it's urgent I can call or go there and I'll usually get an appointment during the day with my doctor or one of the other two doctors working there.
Then I walk there since it's 400m away.
ST operates its own fabs, they are located mostly in Europe.
I don't know about Nordic
