Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). While this should be obvious to anyone who watched the debate, Trump is out trying to spin it that "all the polls" show he won, when that is clearly not the case.

I tried to watch the debate and only made it about halfway through because I had the really stupid idea of taking a drink every time Trump said "people are saying".

Needless to say, I feel rough today.

My condolences to your liver

Same game here…with other added catch phrases. I was hating life this morning. But did you know they sell margaritas in a box with a spigot? Like box wine. I didn’t before last night. Dangerous…

[–] ptz@dubvee.org 11 points 1 month ago

Whaaaat? No, and I wish I didn't. I have a Ninja blender and ice maker which already make margaritas way too accessible. Lol

Meet the Heavy

"It costs four hundred thousand dollars to play this drinking game...for twelve seconds."

For the lazy

Not mentioned in the article, but Trafalgar, who is notorious for heavily skewing republican is also saying voters think Harris won the debate by a large margin

We'll see if this impression lasts all the way to November. Fingers crossed.

In other news, at least 34% of people live in an alternate reality.

I thought they are Republican funded

This is like watching a couple race cars compete; one goes 100% from the first milisecond and wows the crowd with its speed and accuracy; and the other car stalls out a few feet into the race, catches on fire, and spends the rest of the event just spewing out noxious plumes.

...and then we start getting polls about which one people think did better...

I suspect at least 34% of NASCAR fans are there for the crashes and fire though. Might be humanity’s ratio.

I mean, you just about nailed it.

If you rewatch it with the sound off, it is pretty incredible. From the moment Kamala walks over and shakes his hand (which he obviously didn't intend to do), his body language is pure defensiveness. He scowls and hunkers down throughout the entire thing. His anger is apparent.

Trump could not have looked less presidential, and that is saying a lot for someone who was literally President before.

Can someone make a Timelapse split screen of the whole thing? Might be interesting to watch his face change, but only if it takes 1-2 minutes max, nobody needs to look at him any longer.

[–] circuitfarmer@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 1 month ago

This is a good idea and not something I've seen yet... If I get some time later maybe I'll post one.

[–] AtomicHotSauce@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

Oh good, I’m glad we needed a poll to determine that.

[–] Veedem@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

I can’t imagine watching it and thinking he won. It’s almost like any democrat who thought Biden won the first one. You can try to find glimmers to grasp on to, but the reality is the oldest guy in each debate was made to look like a fool.

[–] Zier@fedia.io 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Trump won all the polls. The question was, "Which candidate was batshit crazy?"

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

He thinks it's like golf. The few points he makes, the better.

Except he's terrible at golf.
