Sources for the trade say Marvel is spending $80 million on the Russos alone to direct the next two “Avengers” films. In addition, Downey Jr. will receive “significantly more” to play Doctor Doom across the two films.

Downey’s deal also has multiple perks including private jet travel, dedicated security, and a ‘trailer encampment’. Downey remains the highest-paid member of the MCU by far with sources saying his appearance across ten Marvel films over the first three ‘Phases’ has seen him taking in between $500 million and $600 million from his MCU works to date.

At this rate, RDJr will have enough money to live up to his self description in age of Ultron.

What are you referring to here?

"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist".

Sorry, I chose the wrong movie. Avengers 2012. Could have sworn it was in Ultron.

If Disney doesn’t license at least one MF Doom track for the soundtrack it’ll be a huge missed opportunity

Personly I would have liked to see someone else play Doom.

The supervillain himself.

it has been indicated this Dr. Doom is NOT a Stark variant.

This makes it a less interesting move and has the whiff of desperation about it.

So that looks like $90m per film just for the Russos and Downey. They must be expecting to easily break a billion on each.
