I just finished the mainline series the other day and the thing I keep thinking about is how much happened in such a short timeline overall. Especially in the final book, things really move along at such a quick pace. My executive dysfunction can't handle it.

The pacing is so fast for no reason. My man Percy really experienced trauma after trauma in a single month

Not knowing anything about it: do you think such fast pacing is necessary for the story? I often get put out by it because it seems unrealistic, or a bit over the top

Fast pacing is kind of a given in most YA books I think.

This is definitely true, the other example I am thinking of is Maximum Ride and how that all seems to happen in like two years at most haha.
