We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

Really. I'm glad people on Lemmy seem energized by this, but this site does not represent the US voting population.
I just hope this was the right call. It's a major gamble this late in the race.
I can only hope his replacement isn't dumb enough to try and push gun control while trying to swing the Midwest.
Does your title need an edit?
It is kind of nonsensical. But it (unintentionally?) highlights the deep irony that our saving grace from dictatorship is a candidate who has never received a primary vote for president. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Biden dropped out and I think we have a better chance of keeping Trump out now, but we are far from a democracy right now.

To be clear: that was my take on it. I don't think that was the article's intention. OP did accurately copy the actual article title.
I would also push back on having one chance. They're not going to just scrap everything if they lose. The next time a republican wins they're going for it.
