I am unable to find a community hosted on sh.itjust.works when I search for it from another instance. I know this is probably not a voyager issue, but I was wondering if anyone might be able to help.

Did you check if it's defederated? Would be the first thing I do, that instance is a bit controversial.

In a browser, go to yourinstance.com/instances and navigate to "blocked instances" on the top.

Second thing to try is just link it here in the comments, with a leading !, such as !germany@lemmy.org - you should be able to follow the link in app and then subscribe from there.

Lastly, if it's a very new community, it's just a waiting game until your instance has synced up.

lemmus.org or sh.itjust.works is controversial? I have accounts on lemmy.world, sh.itjust.works, and lemmus.org. I made a community on sh.itjust.works but couldn't find it from either of my other accounts.

I meant sh.itjust.works as controversial. But if the community is brand new, it might take a few days to federate properly.

Your instance is defederated from sh.itjust.works (and a lot of others). You can’t access anything from sh.itjust.works from your instance so you either need an alt account or just switch instances entirely. If you need a new/additional instance sh.itjust.works would be my suggestion

I have an account on sh.itjust.works, used it to make this community. As I can see thanks to you, it's been blocked by lemmus.org. Thank you. Is sh.itjust.works also blocked by lemmy.world? According to my research, it is. Why so much hate for sh.itjust.works?

What research? It’s on the Lemmy.world Linked Instances list:

That was my research. Searching the block list for lemmy.world. 😂

There are two tabs on the link I posted. Double check if you’re on the “Linked Instances” tab or the “Blocked Instances” tab 😜

So the other comment here said they were defederated. But upon inspection, none of the three instances I'm working with are blocking eachother. I have !daylio@sh.itjust.works and !daylio@lemmy.org. I can't find either from lemmus.org. sh.itjust.works can only find the one it moderates. lemmy.world can only find the one it moderates. Is there a waiting period or something?

Also thank you for bearing with me.

You are checking the Lemmus.org instances, right? You asked about lemmy.world which is what I linked, but lemmus.org has their own lists.

Edit: Just checked, and wow - lemmus don’t block shit…
