I unironically use this to remember anything extra beyond my wallet phone and keys

It used to be keys, wallet, and the enjoyment of being unreachable.
Don't you miss the simple pleasure of having to knock on some stranger's door because you needed to use their phone?
I do what I call "the Moron Macarena" just before I close the door. I pat each pocket and cross my arms patting the pockets again just to look extra stupid when I do it lol
Do it to the beat and now leaving the house becomes a (embarrassing) fun ritual!
Spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch.
Do you have a history of leaving your balls at home?
I wish I could. Sometimes you just wish you didn't have them
Searched replies and was not disappointed. 😄
Also: phone, earphones and mask these days.
Phone left pocket on it's own (to prevent scratches). Keys, wallet in right pocket.
If I'm not feeling either of those masses or a key jingle then I know I'm missing something.
Are you left handed ?
Nope, right.
Then why put your phone into your left pocket ? To perform a half macarena of shame everytime you get a call ?
Just because one is right-hand dominant doesn't mean one has to use that hand for everything.
Personally, I do the same. Probably because I had a wallet and keys before I ever had a phone in my pockets, so its habit to put it in the unused one.
I use my right hand for everything. I just can't do anything remotely precise with my left hand. I can't even write with it. The only activities I can do with my left hand are assisting my right hand (for example holding somerhing long).
That's the reason for me as well. Always had wallet and keys in my right pocket, then had to find a place to put my phone when they became a thing. So it ended up in the left pocket.
Keys always go in my right pocket, and I don’t want my phone to get scratched.
I'm right-handed and use my left hand to hold my phone. The right hand is for more important things.
Same here.
Same except keys are clipped on a belt loop and I have a handkerchief with my wallet in my right front pocket (Japan is super humid so a lot of sweat-wiping happens). Also right-handed, but I hold my phone with my left and enter the passcode with my right hand (I don't use the fingerprint scanner)
Bonus points if you go back within one minute to get what you forgot. :-)
The neighbors can watch me doing this every 2 days or so.
I'm glad that we can be a source of great amusement for them.
Oh wait, no, I mean "you" - cause I totally never do that, never ever ever ever 😉.
And we, sorry i mean, i, am not alone.
A colleague at work always makes a slow walk to the door, saying bye to everybody, talking a little and almost always a kind of joke marks his exit.
Just to return a few minutes later and hurry through the office and disappear again without saying a word
It's a bonus exercise, y-y-yeah that's why ~~we~~ - I mean your friend - does it!
I'm pretty much opposite. I don't even know why I carry this unknown mass around in my pockets. My keys are probably in there, otherwise the car wouldn't start.
I dunno, that Sense That You’ve Forgotten Something pictured looks pretty clearly defined.
THE CANVAS BAGS!
YOURE LEAVING THE CANVAS BAGS WERIGDSRFITBJRTEDIGNERT
The ear buds. It's always the ear buds.
ADHD is a helluva drug
I have ADHD and recently just quit nicotine. So for the past few months I run through my mental checklist including the vapes that are no longer part of my checklist because they were part of it for so long. then I have to consciously tell myself I don't vape anymore and have to redo the list In my head without the vapes. I never feel like I have everything...
5D Hypercube: Don't leave home without it
Jokes on you - it's actually 9D compressed into a 7D space. :-D
Don't worry, if you forgot, it probably wasn't important 😉
.... KEVIN!
I pay with the phone and open the door with my thumbprint. Before this I always had to triple check and was always stressed when leaving the house.
Yeah, they clearly forgot headphones.
Not vague for me. Sun glasses 100% of the times I forgot something.
This is me minus me checking specific things in the house, like door closed, AC off... Check for keys, wallet, and phone. Shit. Need to check the house again. Oh. Do I still have my keys, wallet, and phone?
Sometimes I think of something else that might have needed checking so I do the whole thing over again.
Lock the door. Check it's locked. Press elevator button. Go back to see if the door is locked (I'm right next to the elevator so it's not that crazy). Sometimes go downstairs only to go back upstairs to make sure the door is locked.
This is why I started wearing hats everywhere. I have to find my hat which triggers the "Have I got everything?" thought process. If I go outside without my hat it definitely triggers the "Double check EVERYTHING because you clearly arent switched on"
Most times i will stage things i need to take with me near the door. Depends on how out of routine the stuff is
Read the last part as that thing your aunt gave you which you don't know what it is.
When I was the last one leaving the flat for a while, I put a post-it on the door, not only specifying what I needed to pack (I’ve had that down for years), but also for things to check (open window, balcony). I always checked those things, anyway, but checking (and affirming) that I checked gave me peace of mind.
