Immigrants are no longer welcome in Donald Trump’s America. Instead, the Republican presidential nominee posited that under his potential second administration, he would round up and mass-deport noncitizens based on their “serial numbers.”

Speaking with Full Measure’s Sharyl Attkisson, Trump argued that the United States—which was founded by and has historically been a nation of immigrants—shouldn’t be a “dumping ground” for newcomers.

One more fucking time for the Rubepublicans in the back:

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.

That is on the door step of our nation. This is who we should be, and the only way to build a stronger America for a stronger mankind.

Term and conditions were appended in 2019

“Give me your tired, your poor who can stand on their own two feet and who will not become a public charge,” Immigration Director Ken Cuccinelli said Tuesday morning during an interview with NPR.

When asked what he thinks America stands for, Cuccinelli said that the poem was referencing immigrants coming from Europe.

"Of course that poem was referring to people coming from Europe where they had class-based societies, people were considered wretched if they weren't in the right class"

What an ass. It wasn't the high class Europeans that were coming here to get a fresh start.

There was a Facebook meme of the Statue of Liberty helping build Trump's wall. I was just like, have you fucking idiots never heard of Emma Lazarus?

The illegals can't see what is on the welcome mat because they are hopping the fence in the backyard to eat our pets, rape our women, and hide the remote.

Republican response probably.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Hide the remote! That's over the line.

[–] Death_Equity@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

I heard from one of the gentlemen at my pickleball club that the illegals don't even tip their landlords. They are definitely sending up the worst of them.

And if they won't take that American belief than how about the Christian beliefs? Proverbs 19:17, Leviticus 19:33-34

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

hahaha Christian beliefs... hilarious. republicans are the last people who give a shit about the bible.

[–] Death_Equity@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Timothy 2:23 and Timothy 2:25

It's almost if these nut jobs have never read the Bible 🤔

[–] Death_Equity@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

It is pretty long and it don't even talk normal. It is easier to just wear a cross and put a sticker on the back of your pavement princess.

[–] Revan343@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 month ago

Just cherry picked parts of Leviticus, Judges, and Revelation

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

They pick the bits that they think let them justify bigotry and discard the rest.

Most people who do end up not being Christian anymore.

Ask how I know.

[–] TheBat@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

How's that twink from Dune relevant here?🤔

Matthew 25:40:
"Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
