ABC is a network that doesn't have an FCC license. Each individual local station is an FCC licensee. They're the ones that are responsible for the content they air.
Why should Trump be expected to understand how federal agencies work?
Mostly true. ABC network does own licenses in some markets.
Trump or any other political figure can’t just pull a license for no reason though. FCC is pretty good about that
List of O&Os
Trump has repeatedly shown he can and will ignore all the rules restricting him. Furthermore he'd have immunity for official acts. So firing everyone until someone agrees to just pull the licenses of any station named ABC is right up his alley and possible now.
He can't do any of that, as he is not in charge of any of that.
Yeah that's what we thought with the CFPB too.
Hell he can claim ABC is a terrorist organization and then sic the federal government on them. Since he identified them as terrorists dealing with them would be considered an "official act" covered by the immunity ruling...
I don't think he'd go that hard that quick. Last night reminded us that while he can be goaded, he isn't stupid.
Interesting take - he looked pretty stupid to me
Yeah but you aren't who he was talking to. He definitely successfully messaged to conservatives worried about immigration and security.
