I know a little bit of lore, but not a whole lot (I just listen to lore channels at work lol). But the question occurred to me upon thinking about midichlorians. I recall hearing somewhere they connect to blood cells, but I know I'm losing my mind so maybe I just made that up somewhere

The force is definitely more than just the mechanics of biology. I can't imagine a blood transfusion does anything. It shouldn't connect you to the force any more than chopping off a Jedi's arm and waving it around would.

And there are loads of inanimate objects strongly connected to the force: holocrons, kyber crystals, whatever materials are used to construct and paint Jedi temples, etc. Droids are too.
