yes, but Megyn was talking about boys’ bathrooms in schools having tampons, not someone’s house where a brother and sister share the same bathroom
So? Do you think boys will not be able to handle something in a public restroom that they can at home?
So? What harm is it doing?
Best case: personal products become more available so kids who need something harmless can get it. Oh no, societal collapse.
Worst case: you're all right, it's a huge performative stunt meant to push some ideology, and you all are falling for it hook, line and sinker by getting outraged.
Either way, outrage here is dumb. People trying to make people question it are dumb. The fact that we have literally millions of public, gender-neutral bathrooms across the country that have vending machines that dispense condoms, tampons, mouthwash, cologne and other personal products, and nobody has said SHIT about those, should be all you need to understand that any negative engagement you're feeling here is a trick, a scam, a grift or manipulative tactic for some rich fucks to win an election.
I wonder what's more likely here... I wonder....
it's not doing any harm, it's just pointless.
It isn't pointless. Boys can menstruate. Gender is not biological sex.
Male friend of mine had a sister in a lower year at school. She hadn't gotten her period yet but she had an emergency pack with her in the event it started for the first time at school. As a good big brother he also kept stuff in his back pack in the event it was easier or more discreet for her to go ask him.
I remember him telling us and some of our other male friends asking if we've every gotten caught out without any products - when we said yes, a few of them said they were happy to carry some around in the event we needed it.
There are all kinds of reasons to normalise natural bodily functions so that all children can grow up less ignorant and with more compassion for their fellow human being.
yeah, because I'm a guy. It's an issue that doesn't affect someone like me.
Not every school is designed perfectly where boys and girls bathrooms are right next to each other. So that's one reason to have them in both. Also, girls bathrooms usually have the longest line. If a girl is having a emergency she's going to go to the first available room. Another reason right there... Oh and some girls may feel more comfortable in the boys bathroom for a number of reasons. (bullies, girls bathroom dirty/unusable for some reason, etc.) the fact that we have separate gender bathrooms in the first place is laughable at best. We should be teaching kids to respect bathroom etiquette regardless what everyone else's genitals look like.
