Lets try this experiment

Start watching Big Trouble in Little China at 7pm, Central Time, USA (as precisely as you can) ... and come here for live posts as you watch!

This is ~24 hours from the time of this post

Here's a timeanddate.com link to the timezone(s) involved.

@AVincentInSpace@pawb.social jas volunteered to run a live watch on cytube the day afterward (approx 7pm Monday). Posts and links should be coming (and see comments below on the idea).

I would not be averse to doing two back to back days, one with Cytube and one without. I am flexible time wise although I am in Pacific time (UTC-7, 3 hours behind Eastern), or will be as of Jul 29. I do not have a link yet but it would not be hard to create one. They take the form https://cytu.be/r/[name] where [name] is any user-defined string of alphanumeric plus dashes and underscores (iirc). I'll leave it open to suggestions what name I should go with.

One other thing is that exhibiting a movie in this way, much like streaming it via Discord etc., is technically piracy even if the person hosting the MP4 file legally owns it (which I, erm, don't), but I doubt most Lemmings will care.

Cool! Best thing is probably for you to make a post when you have details and we can pin and link as needed.

I’ve edited this post with a mention that you intend to organise this.
