so, I have no feelings about Celine Dion as a singer.... but as a person who can't sleep, I am finding her documentary fascinating and admirable

She's incredibly strong. I saw a clip of her seizure and it kills me. Her voice and power is rare and incredible, and for her to slowly lose that is devastating. She's earned her spot amongst the best singers (the trifecta: Whitney, Mariah, Celine).

I still love and listen to her Eurovision entry. It's how she got so big. She sang in french but was competing for Switzerland, as a Canadian. She changed the economy of the LA strip by doing residencies, which bought in massive revenue and made doing residencies viable for other artists again (previously they were usually for those past their music peak). Her philanthropy, her kindness. If anyone doesn't deserve her condition, it's her.
