Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Cute. You think that we are going to get another fair election if Trump is voted in.

It's obviously a Biden vote from me. But if the Democrats really think they can improve their candidate by switching this late in the game.... As long as they don't cause Trump to win I'm happy.

But I'm more than willing to vote for the nice but senile man who will keep voting possible moving forward. So changing candidates doesn't actually win you my vote. And if you change the candidate to someone too extreme (Like Bernie Sanders), you seriously risk losing my vote.

Not that the comment you're replying to isn't dumb as hell, but...

And if you change the candidate to someone too extreme (Like Bernie Sanders), you seriously risk losing my vote.

You'd really fucking welcome fascism over Bernie Sanders?

[–] anticolonialist@lemmy.world -4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

They would have to first realize that we are already a fascist country, then they would defend blue fascism just as long as they don't get red fascism.

[–] PugJesus@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Whatever helps you live with your privilege, buddy.

[–] anticolonialist@lemmy.world -1 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

Yeah because this queer Mexican communist has so much privilege. It's those that are upholding the status quo that's doing the most harm to the marginalized, the ones that they claim they're trying to protect

[–] PugJesus@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Quite apparently, considering how many minorities you're throwing under the bus so you can roleplay.

[–] anticolonialist@lemmy.world -3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

The people throwing the marginalized under the bus are liberals every election year, when they are promptly forgotten about until the next election when they are brought out as human shields to defend against shitty politicians. They are worse then republicans since republicans are openly hostile

Jesus. You enjoy your privilege, buddy. Some of us have to live in this world. Or die in it.

[–] BallsandBayonets@lemmings.world 10 points 4 months ago

Bernie is about as extreme as Taco Bell cheese is spicy.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You would rather let Trump win than vote for a progressive.

Thank you for saying the quiet part out loud.

[–] dragontamer@lemmy.world -2 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (2 children)

You're welcome.

It needs to be said because yall keep forgetting where the moderates are in this country. I don't think its reasonable to push for a socialist candidate around here.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Except when those "socialist" policies are actually explained to those people, then they support those policies. While continuing to vote directly against them.

[–] dragontamer@lemmy.world -1 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

You pretend like Bernie-bros haven't been trying to explain his policies to me for 20 years. Literally over 20 years now.

But maybe one more post on the internet might help. Who knows?

Being massive hypocrites about "no matter who" mostly.

[–] dragontamer@lemmy.world -3 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

I'm sorry but not sorry that I have values that your picks would violate. But you can be just like the far right fascists and ignore my needs if you want.

Traditionally, far left Marxism and far right fascism are both the enemies of the USA. So I don't like either. I recognize that Lemmy leans left though so maybe you've forgotten the place of the political ideology in the great scheme of ideologies.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

You prefer Trump to any progressive like all centrists.
