Started out on the fmhy.ml just prior to the .ml debacle. On lemmy.world now, but they have just started banning piracy communities. The new fmhy instance, of course, has already died before I got to try it.

sigh Married pasty male looking for lemmy instance that:

  • Has some decent uptime / Reliable / Not on a fly by night top level domain
  • Hates Nazi's and doesn't hesitate to ban, block and defederate such crap
  • Tolerant of piracy communities and federations
  • Oh, and will let me see comments in the Technology community. That isn't working for me here.

Suggestions welcome.

come on man, us instance admins are more or less doing this for free and we have to protect ourselves where we see the need. In this case ~~Germany~~ Netherlands/Finland as quite strict rules around piracy. I have to put up with very strict rules around porn (not as bad as Asia and Arabia) that means I don't federate with Porn sites.

I'm struggling to understand why Reddit actually hosted a piracy discussion group without issues for a long long time, yet here it's deemed too illegal to see a piracy discussion group hosted elsewhere ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
