Ughhhh I went to a different barber than the one I went to last time and he fucked up my hair. He also scratched me with his scissors and started ripping out my hair while not even paying attention. An old lady next to me said my hair looks like "Elvis when he was in a war". I don't know what that means or if it's meant to be a compliment but that doesn't really sound like one

I pay a ridiculous amount for a fade and beard trim, but it's so worth it.

Not a compliment indeed. The classic short back and sides with (by the sound of it) extra raggedy bits. Um, I don't think I'd go to this barber again. Surely there must be others near you?

I went to this one because I was at a specific clothes shop at a shopping centre a bit away from me and it was just across from it so I figured I may as well just do a 2 birds situation. The one I went to when I had my hair cut lazy in Dec was only about 5 mins away from me and they did alright, so I think I'll go back to them next time.

I don't think it's beyond fixing, it's mostly just uneven and not short enough on the sides to get the look I was going for, but then I'll pretty much end up paying $80 for one haircut. Normally I'd just suck it up and deal with it, but I have to present part of a conference on Saturday so I don't really have much choice

That said, I learnt a couple of years ago that I don't look that bad if I shave off almost all my hair. I do the almost bald look better than I should for a 17 year old. So I have options

That's good to hear - options are always good. I been told I look good in hats, so when I get a shit haircut I reach for the hatstand as a first option. Then choose a better hairchopper as time and budget permits.

I've got a nice outback style leather hat that I'll probably wear. If I dial up the boganess a bit I reckon I can make it work

That's the style!
