That's worded a bit badly. What I mean is that the fascism of the GOP is giving the Democrats cover to not enact populous leftists policies and continue catering to corporatism. Thus they are profiting off the far right because the americans don't really have a choice.

That's a bit harsh but ok. I don't understand how my argument is offensive. If Trump hadn't happened the overton window would surely be more to the left? And the democrats have been using a pied piper strategy to help more extremist far right candidates in order to more easily beat them, while at the same time undercutting the left.
