Well done. From now, only reverse park. Once you do it a few times it becomes second nature and you'll scoff at the forward parkers (as you well should) due to your immediate superiority.

While I too drive stick and laugh at Yanks who claim it’s too difficult, I’ll always take a pull through parking spot if available.

Pull through is the first option. If not available, reverse. I get very shitty when people (idiots) tailgate in a carpark and get upset when my reverse lights go on.

Someone hooted me for doing that in the Chelsea Woolworths car park when I still had Felicia. Bet they didn't expect someone in a Volvo 740 to give them the finger... πŸ˜‚

I don't really understand why people want to reverse park all the time. I usually want to put things in the back of my car, so it is much more convenient if that is pointing out.

When you reverse park, you pull forward into traffic when leaving. I can still put stuff in the car when I'm reversed, unless it's a big chunky item then I'll plan ahead.

I personally like backing in when I can do it.

Parking between 2 large cars with a small hatch back is a nightmare to navigate when you're leaving and having to reverse.

So much easier leaving when reverse parked. I only front park when there's too much traffic around or I need to get in quickly to do something.

It improves parallel parking skills as well.

Teaches you about the size of your car and how to use available space. The amount of nuffies that think they're hatchback needs 2 lanes of clearance to move around still amazes me.
