Damn I remember when Brazil used to shit on us, and we would shit on them, the matchs were pure violence, and for 2 hours we would hate each other, and the day after neither the Argentinian nor Brazilian people would be crying about that

Yeah, but both sides became like that, Olé starts crying whenever a Brazilian player mocks us, they started a war with Richarlison (?), with that Gabriel Jesus gesture a lot of people started crying, I mean, of course Brazilians became waaaaaay more used to cry and complain these last years, but we haven't been that much better TBH

I cried evri tiem

[–] bostero2@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Yeah, there has always been shithousery and it was all in good fun from both sides, but I think the media are putting pressure on the receiving end to respond now instead of taking it as a joke and laughing about it.

I think is the "Copa Libertadores" energy.

[–] WTFitsD@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Everyone is a cry baby now

[–] Gallaniel@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Because the hate that someone posts on the internet doesn't get deleted after that 2 hours, so it continues circulating even after a match. As a Brazilian I don't remember animosities being this high when I was a kid and didn't had access to internet, but people chanting mono to Brazilians really gets viral on Brazilian internet, so people take it much more personally and get much more riled up than it used to.

As a brazilian Rodrygo should have kept his mouth shut. When Messi said "How are we cowards if we just won the world cup?". Rodrygo should have said "Congrats in winning the WC, Messi, now your NT has the same number of WCs as Pelé". Can't even trash talk properly ffs.

[–] wank_for_peace@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Well they cried... first time lost on home soil... also the streets still remember 1-7. 🤣

[–] flawless_victory99@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (2 children)

They definitely cried it's just social media wasn't around for it to be given an endless platform.

Are you sure? Like, I have seen countless times brazillians with Argentina’s jersey in here, no matter the season, but the other way around is a type of thing that would get you beaten to shit. I don’t know, this rivalry seems a bit one sided to me. The recent events makes me be seen wrong I know, but the burning rage was due to Argentina being WC champions.

[–] A__paranoid_android@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I believe you are a bit biased, we love brasilians here and wearing your jersey is pretty common. We actually take pride that we have such a good rival. Yeah, during the match we hate each other but I see it like siblings fighting. Sure, there are some cabezas de termo who actually hate the other country on both sides but it's just a loud minority in my opinion.

Yes di maria was alive back then

[–] joaquimdoboiadeiroxo@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

People are too soft nowdays bro.

The Brazilians and the Argentinian who care about Messi and Rodrygo trash talking are probably not even football fans.

That’s what’s Brasil vs Argentina supposed to be.

[–] AleArg99@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Exactly. What happens on the pitch stays in the pitch

[–] fredbogho@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

No offense, but thats because for 27 years Argentina did nothing relevant. Now you guys are good again and the rivalry is reviving. Plus we are very bad now, so one more reason brazilians are pissed lol.
