If my memory is correct FDJ got put on huge wages because both Barca and PSG wanted to sign him and this was shortly after the Neymar deal so Barca didn't want to lose face to PSG again.

I think ETH would still love to have him so he doesn't need to reduce much of anything if he wants the payday.
