He is definitely in contention for Best in the world right now and more than just a great player. But it makes no sense to talk about Messi and Ronaldo as they are a whole level above, in the GOAT contention. We won't be seeing anything at their level for a while, let alone two at the same time.

Haaland has at best a shot at turning into one of the GOATs classic 9s, but I don't see he becoming a complete footballer in the likes of Messi and Ronaldo.
