Enough Musk Spam
For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.
Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.
Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.
Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

This idea behind this sub seems counterproductive to me. If we don't want anymore musk spam, why keep posting about him and his companies? We should just ignore the idiot entirely, not keep posting negative stuff that clutters our feeds.
This group is against the pro-Musk spam.
post here so you don’t post in /news etc
… then we can block/mute a single place when we get bored AF of narcissistic billionaire spam
The reddit sub with the same name initially made sense because he used to be popular there. So it was a counterpoint to all the positive posts about him. Now, yes it just doesn't make any sense. It's promoting posts about him while complaining about all the posts about him....
I think this sub was created by owners of different subs to get Musk people away from there.
@Anamnesis
@Moonrise2473
It's called a "containment thread"
It ain't fuckin workin.
Counter productive more like.
If people stopped posting articles entirely, there wouldn't be enough musk spam
/s
You could just block the community and achieve the same effect.
restrict useless musk spam here, so who is going to put a link on lemmy on this specific article will get a warning "it has been posted there"
It's not even musk, it's some woman's home screen.
If we stop making comments about Musk, then there will be less comments about Musk!
... Oh wait
