The ice is there to make the drink look bigger. There is no need for it to be that big.
This is incredibly high quality ice. And its there to provide large surface area dilution.
Actually there is, the bigger the ice the slower it melts. So unless you want a drink that is 25% water after 25 minutes, you'll want as much ice in your drink as possible.
Bro it's a mixed drink, you are supposed to sip and enjoy, this isn't shots of admiral Nelson rum or old crow. You are supposed to enjoy 2 along with some food and conversation, it's not well drinks for a dollar.
