  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Donald Trump ripped into Iran and Israel for violating a ceasefire deal within hours of his triumphant announcement.

“You basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f--- they’re doing! Do you understand that?” he told reporters Tuesday morning on his way to the NATO summit in The Hague.

maybe he should've grabbed them by the pussy

The fact that this went away, really makes me confident that America is a failed state.

nationalism gave us the hubris to think we were impervious to fascism. now we have a convicted felon rapist manbaby, completely immune to any consequence whatsoever, calling all the shots while our peaceful protesters are abducted by masked goons

barely 250 years. pathetic

nationalism gave us the hubris to think we were impervious to fascism.

Which is absurd, as the fascist nations were overwhelmingly nationalist first and foremost.

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

the more you look at US history the more absurd it gets

Okay, 250 years isn't too bad. France's last government started in the 60s. And they've had a lot. But that's France. The US has the longest lasting fully used constitution in the world. It's just that a lot of it has been ignored over the years.

ok. congrats to us, i guess...

Most MAGA don't care about women anyway. They view women as sub-human. Even the MAGA women defend this.

It turns out conservatives are offended by sex, not sexual assault. They're historically pretty okay with that one.

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 day ago

"offended by sex" is just a smoke and mirrors cover for what really grinds their gears: women making their own decisions. especially when a decision contradicts what they're told to do by men

Great point. Trump has never once showed a hint of empathy and only sees things from his own perspective.

Whether he's talking about sexually assaulting women or using the military to assault another country, it's all very similar to him.

Trump's many obvious deficiencies make him one of the least qualified people to negotiate peace with other countries.

Oddly he sounds like my ex wife - completely without empathy unless its about her pain- which should command center stage at all times.
