Nah, Menendez is actually corrupt, this isn’t the first time he’s been in trouble for this. New Jersey politicians in particular seem to be just shamelessly corrupt, regardless of party affiliation.
Glad this happening but isn't Clarence Thomas guilty of the same thing? When do wr go after him. When does the DOJ charge him.
It's important to remember there are checks and balances in the government. So we'll go after him when his checks stop cashing and his balance goes negative.
You will definitely never see me defend Clarence Thomas, I just needed to point out that this isn't a partisan thing in this one specific instance. Democrats are frequently bad politicians too, it's just not a solid requirement like it is for the GOP.
Oh I know and I agree we need hold both parties accountable. Unlike Republicans we need to have standards. Were if he was a Republican his voters would praising him and call it a witch hunt. While us on the left are like "good he needs to go to jail and be kicked from office "
But goddammit the highest court in our land justices who apparently can strip us of rights at a welm just because they want to and they allowed to continue doing same thing this senator is accused of.
