For the actors in productions made before her views were widely known, they have that excuse. They can come forward and say "I disagree and disavow" because they didn't know beforehand.

For somebody signing on now, that excuse doesn't work. So it's either greed, or ignorance. Her views are absolutely no secret, and she's apparently "very involved" with the hiring process of the creative team.

When asked if he fears the debate over Rowling may overshadow the series, Frost said, “I don’t know,” adding: “But maybe it shouldn’t blow over? We shouldn’t just hope it will go away, because it makes it easier. Maybe we should educate ourselves.”

So it's not ignorance. It's naked greed and avarice. The contradiction of what Frost is saying in the quote above, and his decision to engage with her writings and deepen her pockets, renders his words meaningless handwringing.

How can a reasonable adult say something so at odds with his own actions? Very, very disappointed in Frost, a man who has performed roles that portray relatable, kind, humble, and emotional people (for all of the comedy in them too!). I guess that's more of a credit to the roles and writers, than the man who acted, which probably shouldn't be a surprise to me but still is, just due to the association. Shame.

Or enthusiastic agreement.

You're right. I neglected to include that, I apologise -- and I hope that is not the case for anybody who has signed on to this production.

Why would someone who enthusiastically agrees say something like that? Being anti-trans isn't exactly a fringe opinion at this point.
