There's leveling viewer rates and an increase in torrents so yeah, it is sorta dying because no one likes playing 90 dollars for 7 subscriptions that still don't get you every show you want to watch.

What they mean is not that people aren't streaming. Its that the profit margins in streaming are reaching a plateau so investors can't profit nearly as much or as easily.

I'm actually considering buying shows on Blu-ray and then ripping them into my media server. But Blu-rays are super expensive compared to paying for streaming for s few months, and I never know if I'll actually watch something completely before I even start.

You can go to your local thrift store and get DVD Videos and Blu-rays.

I get all my blank media from there.

Your local library may also have a collection of movies and shows available for checkout. CDs too
