Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

After her flippant reply to constituents' worries about health care and food assistance cuts, Sen. Joni Ernst followed up with a brazen video filmed in a cemetery.

“But for those that would like to see eternal and everlasting life, I encourage you to embrace my lord and savior, Jesus Christ.”

Oh, hey, well good for you. You have nothing to fear then. So get on with it you fucking psycho. Go feed yourself the business end of a shotgun instead of killing the poor and the helpless and let the rest of us work on cleaning up the mess your kind are making.

The best part to all this is their belief in an afterlife in heaven where you never have to worry about your health, your food or your shelter ever again .... an absolute communist hell hole.

They deny any humanity in this life because they believe in a humanity that will never happen in an after life.

I am beyond tired of "live and let live" when it comes to the religious right, when its influence negatively impacts the world so clearly, and its hunger for complete global subservience seems to never end.

These people are FREAKS! It is literally a death cult, and its cultists are in charge of more than half the country! They belong in communes in the wilderness of Montana, not ruling the most powerful culture in human history. Not with their hands on the nuclear football and giving orders to 11 Carrier Battle Groups.

Everyone should sever all ties with bible-thumpers. They need to either give up their delusions or be excised from civilization.

We all die anyway right? So clearly we should all immediately kill ourselves and save on national resources!

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 16 points 5 days ago

If we will all die anyway, is there anything wrong with killing the wealthy and powerful?

Or does the tune change then?

Only once you're not able to work for the corporate overlords may you apply for a permit to take yourself out.

No, suicide is a sin so you'd go to hell.

What you would need to do is set up a chain where the one Christian murders another, and then asks Jesus for forgiveness immediately, before the next Christian murders them. And so on...

At the end, you would end up with a single murderer who wouldn't have anyone to do them in... But that could be their sacrifice. Like Jesus or some shit.
