my kid likes to postpone her homework infinitely ( just like me when I was in school... I think it's my genes working ... sh*t ) .

How to handle this scenario.

Thanks,

Ok.

She's 4 year old. I try by offering cycling , walking to the paddy fields etc...and she starts to do homework ( its only 5-10 min task ). In 1-2 minutes , she loses concentration and move to something else.( Turns on TV , but not allowed to touch remote. Or go out and mimicks me by planting leaves/sticks from kitchen farm :) ).

My wife is better at managing the kid.. But, I cannot get it to there.

Seems like the marshmallow problem. Even if she knows there is reward, she gets sidetracked.

Can you try doing your own “homework” while she has to? Like sitting down and reading a book next to her, to drop potential distractions. Maybe more actively redirecting her towards her homework?

All the best! Since you have a winner in the house, you might be able to decript what your wife does ;)
