How about Nuremberg style trials for the Trump administration?

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 82 points 2 days ago

As an American, I support both.

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 42 points 2 days ago (1 children)

as Russian assets, they would qualify

[–] trotfox@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

Ya know....

When it's comes out in the wash and these fuckers have cuffs on in the mean time, their Russian ties will put them in prison alone. Wild thought, hope it happens.

How about Nuremberg style trials for ~~the Trump administration~~ all USA administrations in the last 50 years?

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

OK but the current one is shaping up to be way, way, way worse.

It's more likely he'll get assassinated even though it won't save democracy in the US.

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It’s more likely he’ll get assassinated Of course. He caused a lot of very rich and powerful people to lose a lot of money and power. Putin, may even decide to eliminate Krasnov.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Why would he do that?

Putin is getting everything he wants from Trump.

  • Diplomatic support against Ukraine.
  • Captured & subverted Russia's historical enemy, the GOP
  • Wrecked the trust of all of the USA's allies (except Israel, go figure).
  • Devalued the dollar in a week.
  • Upended the global trade system that was "rigged" against Russia.
  • Attacking the same outgroups (LGBTQ, minorities) that Russia attacks.
  • Causing the upcoming food shortage in the USA via deportation & ending subsidies.
  • Quiet quitting NATO.

Just watch, by this time next year, Trump will have replaced timber from Canada with timber from Russia.

Agreed, do Trump next! Although, we should do Russia first, as I think what will turn up during that investigation is going to be... very relevant.

Now this is the galaxy brain response right here 😉

Por que los dos?

[–] Bosht@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Entire gov top to bottom. We've needed to clean house and obviously we the people's voice isn't being heard. I'm all for a 3rd part to intervene.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 2 points 2 days ago

Yep, we clearly can't get the job done ourselves. It's time for the grown-ups to intervene.

[–] anarchiddy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 days ago

How about for the American government in general?

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemm.ee 3 points 2 days ago

I’m guessing Trump would be against that as well.
