There's like 20 people having fun on the pipe.

And there was probably 3 people who decided to place that little sign.

dEmOcRaCy.

When the pipe suddenly burst into fecal matter coveting everyone in other people's feces democracy would be seen as a great thing.

[–] x00z@lemmy.world 12 points 5 days ago (1 children)

"Pipe can burst and shoot poop. Stay safe"

Up to the people to take the chance.

[–] daniskarma@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

That works for that example.

What if it's an internet cable and playing around it could harm others and not you? Up to people to take other people's chances?

[–] x00z@lemmy.world 7 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Then bury the cable and not have it on a beach that is obviously used for recreational purposes.

Companies are not more important than people.

[–] daniskarma@lemmy.dbzer0.com -3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Who said the cable was put there by a company or is used by a company.

It could be put there by people and used by the people.

[–] spooky2092@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 5 days ago

Then the people should bury it.

I really hope you lost your ‘/s’, unironically this is the mentality that brought us the Trump administration.

[–] joyjoy@lemm.ee 8 points 5 days ago (1 children)

That was implied by the fluctuating case of "dEmOcRaCy"

[–] atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works -1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I wish you were correct. Unfortunately it only implies the meme you posted and lacks the context you are ascribing. It could be taken either way on the Internet.

I'm saying people don't want authoritarian people telling them what to do.

Give information instead:

  • "Pipe can get very hot in summer"
  • "Pipe contains dangerous chemicals"

I don't want some government or people telling me what I can and can't do because they were able to grab power and call it democratic.

Please don't go near the super secret pipeline full of tasty melted chocolate for Willy Wonka's factory.

[–] frostysauce@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

The problem is people are stupid. As evidenced by the picture.

I don't want some government or people telling me what I can and can't do

OK, you would be one of the children in the picture.
