Revisionism โ No downplaying or denying atrocities past and present. Calling Tankies shills, foreign/federal agents, or bots also falls under this rule. Extremists exist. They are real. Do not call them shills or fake users as it handwaves their extremism.
Tankies can explain their views but may be criticised or attacked for them. Any slight infraction on the rules above will immediately earn a warning and possibly a ban.
Off-topic Discussion โ Do not discuss unrelated topics to the point of derailing the thread. Stay focused on the direct content of the post as opposed to arguing.
You'll be warned if you're violating the instance and community rules. Continuing poor behaviour after being warned will result in a ban or removal of your comments. Bans typically only last 24 hours, but each subsequent infraction will double the amount. Depending on the content, the ban time may be increased. You may request an unban at any time.

Well, i'll try to avoid talking about the political stuff (there's an entire mountain of it) Do note i don't really care, i just ignore them; and i mainly participate in casual communities (they're pretty well behaved there)
Most content from hexbear is pretty low-effort. The admins are incompetent, and will allow [pretty much] anything so long as it comes from one of their users.
I've seen death threats, harassment, racism all from there; and the admins allow all of it. The bad-faith you to the ground in an argument, too.
I'll admit not all users are bad, but a majority probably are. That's my personal opinion. On !privacy@lemmy.dbzer0.com they've been pretty okay actually, they're allowed there. But it's more of a discussion/casual community imo.
Didnt we just have a large conversation about defederating with a Nazi bar because of the actions of a few users with lax administration?
Judging by your message here it seems that we're entirely hypocritical as a community if we hold one admin to a higher standard than others.
I agree honestly. But one would need to initiate a vote for that, and i'm not in the mood to be harassed for days straight ;)
