So, is he saying he could have prevented the invasion if Ukraine hadn't somehow caused him to lose the election in 2020? Or is he saying that he could have prevented the invasion as a private citizen and Ukraine turned down his help? Either way, I seem to recall him refusing to say how he would end the war in a day specifically because he wasn't just going to give that away for free, since it was supposedly a selling point for him being president again.
Also, keeping "almost all of the land" means he would have offered free territory to Russia in response to the mere threat of invasion. As if we needed more proof that he was an incredibly stupid bastard with zero negotiating skills and absolutely no understanding of war, strategy, geopolitics, history, etc.
