Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Yes he is. He went in Joe Rogan recently and tried to pretend that he goes bow hunting and Rogan could tell he was lying and made him look like an idiot.

[–] Broadfern@lemmy.world 17 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Rogan is one of those idolized dorks who occasionally, somewhat usefully, point out to their base that another idolized dork should be rightfully mocked.

[–] Eheran@lemmy.world 8 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Dork is very tame. The guy talks batshit crazy stuff. Angels living among us and I don't know what, really to of the line bullshit.

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Joe Rogan talks about angels living among us? Damn, dude changed a lot since I used to listen to his stuff.

[–] Eheran@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

Sorry it is actually FAR, FAR more crazy than that. Episode 2083, starts somewhere closer to the end but just too much to even start giving time stamps: https://youtu.be/Fm9N-lyNQms

Devolves into absolut batshit crazy fuck. Shows Tucker Carlson: Talking about aliens that are among us and are spiritual. US Government has an agreement with them. Inter-dimensional beings. He has seen it. It is good and evil. Outside forces make us do bad things. I quote: "that's one of the weirdest arguments about the UFO thing is that we are essentially containers of Souls and that what this planet is for for these beings is they mine Souls here and that they develop Souls here and that all of our motivations for existing and all of our ego and all of our ambition is really just a way to carry that Soul as a vessel and that these that they then Harvest"

Science = same as bible, need to believe something (and bible got it right) Another brilliant quote: "people that lived in Africa 30,000 40,000 years ago in in Egypt if they created a a society that was infinitely more sophisticated than anything that we had ever seen" .... like what the actual fuck even? How do you make stone figures, that is what you can not grasp? Then blablabla and of course the pyramids because of course a big pile of stones is crazy unrelatable?! Then suddenly back to Carlson like 10 minutes later. Then suddenly about memes and that they have watermarks but sometimes not?!? What are they even taking?

It's so fucking weird that he would think that bow hunting is some kind of flex. I guess that's 'merica for ya.

I'd be really curious what he means about "masculine energy" at companies. As in, what is the actual manifestation of that? Do they go bow hunting as a team building thing?

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 8 points 5 days ago (1 children)

The dude is just insecure with his masculinity. That’s all it is. He’s trying to cultivate some kind of manly tech bro image that doesn’t fucking exist, and he’s bad at it.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

I mean, I understand some knob like Ted Nugent making bow hunting his "brand", if you will. You practically expect it.

But...who does Cuckerberg think he's kidding here? That he's out conquering some wilderness on the island paradise of Hawaii, living off the land, etc.? 🤣

Lol as a fan of archery I’d really like to see that.
