Not that numeric details matter but 800 000 surpasses any figures or estimates I've seen relating to Palestinian deaths, I am only seeing it with respect to displacement from Rafah. Where are you getting that number from?
Switching it out for any other number doesn't change your point, but I'm just trying to understand the source.
Trump said 1.5 million Palestinians need to be moved. Before October 7th, 2.3 million people lived there. This is being discussed in both the news and on commentary podcasts. Trump is indirectly identifying how many people have been killed in this genocide.
Thanks for the explanation, I wouldn't necessarily draw the same conclusion but I see your point. I suspect we won't know the true toll for maybe ever... however I hope it's not that.
